Doug Walker

PETERBOROUGH OFFICE

Douglas Walker LL.B.

LAWYER

Doug obtained his law degree from Queen’s University. After completing his articles in Toronto while playing briefly with the Argonauts, he and his family ventured to Peterborough where he opened a law practice in 1974. It was always a “solicitors practice” with an emphasis on real estate law, and estate planning. Thanks largely to the incredible staff he was able to attract, Doug’s law firm thrived for almost 50 years.

Community involvement has been a constant theme over the years, but his numerous functions with the Peterborough Family YMCA including chairman of the board, and an ongoing relationship to this day continues to be an integral part of his life.

His practice was built on relationships with his clients, and with other professionals in the community. Doug has found that looking after the legal needs of many families for up to three generations has been the most satisfying aspect of his practice. He is delighted that EDH Law will continue his proud tradition, and thrilled to continue practicing with EDH Law as counsel to the
firm.
